Nicole O'Hare is the Principal and Founder of LawConnexion. She leads a small, sophisticated team, comprising business development and change management consultants, researchers and administration staff.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree with First Class Honours and was admitted as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2003. She is a current member of the Bar Association of New South Wales.
Nicole has had extensive experience practising as a solicitor in litigation, arbitration and mediation. Throughout her legal career, she has worked closely with barristers of varying seniority, from the newly admitted to Queen's Counsel, as well as alternative dispute resolution practitioners. She has a strong interest in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, on which her University Thesis was focused.
Nicole has practised in the Litigation departments of major law firms in Sydney and was actively involved in these firms’ business development initiatives. She has also worked in London at 'Magic Circle' law firm Linklaters LLP, in the areas of Corporate Advisory and Financial Markets, with a particular focus on European Union Law.
Upon her return to Australia, Nicole became a successful Legal Headhunter for an international search firm. In this role, she regularly made direct approaches and ‘cold calls’ to lawyers and possessed a strong ability to forge immediate relationships and connect legal professionals at all levels. She later returned to legal practice, working in high-end in-house legal capacities, which served to enhance her legal, commercial and business acumen.
Nicole’s exposure to, and understanding of the legal market, her deep understanding as to what solicitors' requirements are, together with her extensive network of contacts, provides her with a valuable foundation upon which to assist barristers and alternative practitioners achieve their professional goals.
